Unitec has three libraries across two of its three campuses. The collections vary from branch to branch in accordance with teaching needs at that location, but our full range of services is able to be accessed from all our locations. See the locations page for addresses and directions to each library location. Opening hours are on the dark grey menu above.
Mt Albert - Building One Library
The Building 1 Library at the north end of the Mt Albert Campus has the resources needed for the architecture, design, performing arts and landscape architecture programmes. Its collections include Trade catalogues related to the architecture and construction industries, and 'Arts Files' with art exhibition catalogues and other information on NZ artists of an ephemeral nature, with pictorial content. It also holds a special collection of plans and papers related to landscape designer Fred Tschopp.
Mt Albert - Hub Library
The Hub Library is our largest library conveniently located within Te Puna. It caters for programmes taught at the south end of Mt Albert Campus, including education, business, computing, communication, health, natural sciences, construction, languages, sport and trades. Te Kohinga Māori is a collection of resources which focuses on subjects pertaining to Māori and Māori culture. As well as a variety of study spaces, there are six bookable group study rooms.
The Waitākere Campus Library is located on level 3 of the Waitākere Central Library (Auckland Council) building. This is a huge advantage for Unitec staff and students as this provides us with access to an increased range of resources. Wireless access in the whole building allows the library laptops to be taken to all three levels of the library building. Study spaces include 6 bookable group study room.
