Library branches

Unitec has three libraries across two of its three campuses. The collections vary from branch to branch in accordance with teaching needs at that location, but our full range of services is able to be accessed from all our locations. See the locations page for addresses and directions to each library location. Opening hours are on the dark grey menu above.

Mt Albert - Te Puna Library

The Te Puna Library is our largest library and caters for programmes taught at the south end of Mt Albert Campus, including architecture, education, business, computing, communication, natural sciences, construction industries, languages, sport and trades. Te Kohinga Māori is a collection of resources which focuses on subjects pertaining to Māori and Māori culture. The 'Arts Files' with art exhibition catalogues and other information on NZ artists of an ephemeral nature, with pictorial content is located on Level 3. Te Puna also holds a special collection of plans and papers related to landscape designer Fred Tschopp.
As well as a variety of study spaces, there are six bookable group study rooms.

Mt Albert - Performing and Screen Arts Library

The PASA Library is located in B202 at the north end of the Mt Albert Campus. It has resources needed for the performing and screen arts programmes and is accessible to students in those programms, by swipe card. This library contains a collection of books, a large collection of DVDs, and journals related to the courses. There is a small reference collection available for use in the library.

Waitākere Library

Waitākere level 3 Pacific collection - click for more photos. The Waitākere Campus Library is located on level 3 of the Waitākere Central Library (Auckland Council) building. This is a huge advantage for Unitec staff and students as this provides us with access to an increased range of resources.
