Finding journals and articles

Unitec Library recently implemented some new software library systems to help our users find journals and articles. They includes several features which will help you find journals and articles, especially online:

  • Find eJournals
Use eJournal finder to browse over 38,000 e-journals and directly link to them via an A-Z title search or a subject search

  • Check for full-text from database results via uResolver
If you are searching one of the databases we subscribe to the fastest way to access the full-text of an article is to click on the button with the Unitec icon that says "Check for full-text".
This feature will link you to the full-text article online whenever possible (within our subscription limitations). If it does not find the article online it will provide a link to our catalogue to check if we hold the item in print format.
For further information and help see our Frequently asked questions about ArticleLinker/Uresolver.

  • Access a specific article via the CiteLinker Form
If you have the reference details (such as journal and page number) you can use LibrarySearch's CiteLinker Form to link directly to the full text of most articles we have in our databases (please note that some articles are not included, but most academic ones are).
To access the CiteLinker Form, go to LibrarySearch and click on CiteLinker in the upper right-hand corner.

  • Access full-text via Google Scholar
You can link direct to our online journal articles from Google Scholar by clicking the 'fulltext@unitec' link to the right of any Google scholar article we subscribe to.
